Tree; leaves alternate, pinnately compound, leaflets many, each with 1 or 2 glandular teeth near base; flowers hypogynous, greenish, small, in terminal panicles; flowers staminate, carpellate, or bisporangiate; sepals 5, united at base; petals 5, separate; stamens 10 in staminate, fewer in bisporangiate, none in carpellate flowers; carpels 2-5, styles united, ovaries separate or nearly so, fruit an aggregate of samaras.
